The Associated Student Government at The University of Akron serves as the governing body responsible for representing student interests and needs on matters of University, county, or state interests affecting the University. ASG also places its members on University wide committees, task forces, and selection committees to ensure student representation. Along with these responsibilities, ASG funds registered student organizations and activities that enhance student life, funds educational programs through 'Addressing Cultural Topics', sponsors 'Brown Bag Lunches' with the President, providing an open forum for student concerns, provides a 'Free Income Tax Preparation Service' in the spring, sponsors rallies for student aid, implements elections and many other programs and services.

Your student government works diligently to meet the needs of the student body at The University of Akron. But, these needs can only be met if students like you take an active role in voicing your views. Through student involvement and input, ASG will continue to function for YOU... the STUDENT!
